The Norwegian Motion Lab was opened on the 27th of November, with speeches from the all the parties involved in the realization of the laboratory: the University of Agder, the Research Council of Norway, NORCOWE and J.B. Ugland Eiendom AS.

The opening also included a demonstration run by PhD student Magnus Kjelland, where heave compensation was used when depositing an object onto the moving Stewart platform. A representative from Bosch Rexroth, the producer of the platform, was also present at the opening.

Geir Hovland, UiA, announced that there had been a lot of interest for the Motion Lab at EWEA Offshore in November, with several projects being planned. Please visit the webpage for more information about the Norwegian Motion Lab and previous projects.
