NORCOWE's Work Package Meetings 2013 were hosted by the University of Stavanger and gathered almost 70 participants. Here is Alastair Jenkins from Uni Research presenting his results.

Apart from presenting the newest results from the various work packages, speakers from the industry were also invited to give related talks.

Statoil, one of NORCOWE's industrial partners, was well represented with three talks. Elizabeth Baumann Ofstad highlighted the structured work process used by Statoil to bring ideas through the R&D phase to become proven technology.

Other industry and research institutes invited especially to this NORCOWE seminar included DEWI, ECN, DNV Kema, DTU Wind and EDF Energy R&D. Below is a photograph of Tom Neumann from DEWI.

The presentations on the first day were closed by a poster session, giving students and researchers further opportunities to present and discuss their work

Towards evening we visited Flor & Fjære, an exotic garden on a once rocky island some 20 minutes by boat outside of Stavanger, where a guided tour and dinner followed.

Though spring arrived late this year, the gardens were still beautiful to behold.
