Dr. Tomohiro Hasuni from Mizuho Information and Research Institute visited CMR and NORCOWE Tuesday February 26.
Dr. Hasuni is in Norway to learn about offshore wind power, and to present the plans for the Fukushima Floating Offshore Wind Farm project. The meeting at CMR was a joint meeting with NORCOWE, Arena NOW and Innovation Norway. Japanese authorities has identified floating wind power as one of the initiatives for recovery in the Fukushima region, and the plans presented in the meeting contained a research and development project for floating offshore wind turbines. Dr. Hasuni was also interested to learn about how to succeed in creating industry and research clusters. Present in the meeting was also NORCOWE and Arena NOW partners that presented themselves and their technologies.
