The position is a 3-year Research Fellowship funded by the University of Stavanger, and will be in cooperation with NORCOWE. He will be associated with the Centre for Industrial Asset Management and supervised by professor Jayantha P. Liyanage.
Ole-Erik completed his first MSc degree in industrial asset management by June 2012, and is currently finishing his second MSc degree, in marine- and subsea technology, both at the University of Stavanger. His main research topic has been integrated operations in the offshore oil and gas industry, and he wants to extent this topic to the offshore wind energy sector. In his PhD project Ole-Erik will look at application of best engineering asset management practices from the O&G industry on the wind energy sector, and develop a framework for an integrated work management system. The aim is to achieve an efficient solution that can lower costs and improve value creation from offshore wind energy assets.
