Christian Michelsen Research (CMR) is a contract research organization with expertise and experience within energy technology, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, monitoring, and CDF modelling.
CMR Prototech focuses on R&D targeted towards concept evaluation, design and development, and manufacture and testing of innovative technology for sustainable energy production by means of a combination of advanced engineering techniques and technological research. CMR Prototech is currently pursuing a unique and innovative concept for high altitude wind power in cooperation with the company R&D OMNIDEA.
CMR Instrumentation develops advanced measurement technologies for fiscal, process, and multiphase flow measurements of oil and gas, meteorological and oceanographic observations, and fisheries applications.
CMR GexCon specializes in technical process safety, and in particular CFD modelling of fluid flow in complex geometries: the wind field within the atmospheric boundary layer, accidental releases and dispersion of flammable or toxic gas, gas and dust explosions, and jet/pool fires.
CMR Computing develops innovative solutions for visualizing geological, oceanographic, meteorological, and acoustical data, for the purpose of visual analysis, monitoring of processes, risk evaluation, and facilitating decision support.
