Lectures on Offshore wind, March 9-24 9. mars 2015 - 24. mars 2015

In the period March 9-24 there will be hosted eight lectures on Offshore wind at Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen.
The lectures are organized as follows:
Monday, 09/03: Introduction and meteorological basics
Tuesday, 10/03: The marine atmospheric boundary layer
Monday, 16/03: Atmospheric measurements and wake effects
Tuesday, 17/03: Offshore wind infrastructure and installation - an overview
Wednesday, 18/03: Extracting power from the wind
Thursday, 19/03: Dynamics of offshore wind turbines
Monday, 23/03: Wave loads
Tuesday, 24/03: Fixed and floating foundations
The lecturers are Professor Joachim Reuder and Profesor Find Gunnar Nielsen from the Geophysical Institute, and Ph.D. Ivan Østvik from Norwind.
All lectures will be held at 16:15-18:00 in Auditorium 105, Jahnebakken 3, Geophysical Institute. The website will keep you updated with time and lecture topics.
