The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) invites you to its congress on the results of five years of environmental monitoring and research regarding the ecological impact at the offshore windfarm alpha ventus, Germany’s first offshore windfarm testing and demonstration project.
Leading scientists from renowned research institutes will lead you through an interesting programme, presenting the effects the 60 MW offshore windfarm alpha ventus has on fish, benthos, birds,
marine mammals and underwater noise.
· Relevance of ecological research for future development of offshore wind energy for Germany and in an international context.
· Lessons learnt from five years of environmental monitoring and research covering the impact on fish, benthos, birds and marine mammals at the offshore test site alpha ventus and other German windfarm projects.
· Presentation of the updated BSH 'Standard for Environmental Impact Assessments (StUK4)’, based on the results of the alpha ventus research project.
The conference programme provides ample room for interaction and discussion with leading experts on various topics. A poster session on related research and a conference dinner will complement the programme.
The conference takes place in Berlin, Germany.
