2013 International Conference on Aerodynamics of Offshore Wind Energy Systems and Wakes
17. juni 2013
- 19. juni 2013
Offshore wind resource is vast and harvesting offshore wind energy is a fast growing industry. To reduce the cost of offshore wind energy, the size of wind turbines increases and reaches today 6MW and it will increase further. Large wind turbines are more challenging with respect to both aerodynamics and structures. To promote opportunities of sharing the latest research results and accomplishments in aerodynamics of offshore wind energy and wakes, the Technical University of Denmark is hosting the 2013 International Conference on Aerodynamics of Offshore Wind Energy Systems and Wakes (ICOWES2013). Predecessors within the same fields are: the 2011 International Conference on Offshore Wind Energy and Ocean Energy (2011ICOWEOE) held in Beijing in October 2011 and the Wake Conference held in Gotland, Sweden in June 2011. Various researchers and experts from Europe, America and Asia will discuss the latest results and developments in offshore wind energy and wakes at the conference.
